How It Happened
Army wasted little time opening the scoring, as just 3:22 into the first period, Salice whistled a shot past Androlewicz for his first of two goals on the night. Just over two minutes later, Stonehill nearly evened the score when sophomore Billy Renfrew rang a shot off the post.

The Black Knights doubled their advantage at 16:51 when Hong backhanded a shot into the net. Moments later, the Skyhawks earned the game's first power-play opportunity, but despite eight shot attempts, including six on goal, Stonehill was unable to cut into its two-goal deficit heading into the first intermission.

Early in the second period, Army extended its lead with goals from Jude Brower (4:33) and Marshall (8:38), putting the Black Knights ahead 4-0. Following two more stifled power-play chances for Stonehill, JJ Grainda forced a turnover that allowed Mexico to set up Melady, who fired home his second goal of the season.

Salice added another goal in the final 30 seconds of the second period, marking his second of the game and restoring Army's four-goal lead. Army capped the scoring at 4:14 of the third period when Marshall lit the lamp, sealing a 6-1 victory.
