EASTON, Mass. (Oct. 24, 2025) – The Stonehill field hockey team honored its three senior student-athletes (
Madison Darmstadt,
Sarah Latham and
Makayla Strickulis) on Senior Day Friday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium.
The Skyhawks fell in its final NEC home contest to Wagner by a score of 1-0, as Stonehill moves to 4-4 in the NEC and 4-12 overall, while the Seahawks go to 7-9 and 6-2 in the NEC.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Goalkeeper Isabelle Morton turned away six shots in net for the Skyhawks.
- Stonehill celebrated its three senior student-athletes, marking the first Division I class in school history.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Wagner got off to a 1-0 lead when Floortje Leunisse fired a shot off a rebound into the back of the net at 5:38 of the first quarter.
The Seahawks held a 11-6 advantage in shots, including 4-2 in the second half, as Wagner held on for the victory despite Stonehill having three extra attacker advantages late in the game.

Stonehill (4-12, 4-4 NEC) will conclude the non-conference portion of its schedule by visiting Albany (9-6, 2-2 America East) on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m.
