Field Hockey Falls Late in Non-Conference Finale at UAlbany

ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 26, 2025) – The Stonehill field hockey team concluded the non-conference portion of its schedule by dropping a 2-1 road contest at UAlbany Sunday afternoon.

The Skyhawks move to 4-13 overall (4-4 NEC), while the Great Dane now stand 10-6 (2-2 in America East).

STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Siobhan Landers scored her second goal of the season in the second quarter.
  • Isabelle Morton made six saves in net for Stonehill. With her 101 saves this season, she has the eighth-most in a single year in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Following a scoreless opening stanza, UAlbany got on the scoreboard first off a penalty corner as Mara Kuskes fired for the goal off a pass from Pilar Lorenzini at 20:12. The Skyhawks tied the game, also off a penalty corner, as Siobhan Landers earned the equalizer at 23:57.

The game remained tied, 1-1, until 17 seconds remaining in the fourth when Kuskes again capitalized on a penalty corner, giving the Great Danes a 2-1 lead.

UAlbany held 21-7 edge in shots and an 11-2 advantage in penalty corners.

UP NEXT:
Stonehill (4-13, 4-4 NEC) will visit Merrimack (3-13, 3-5 NEC) in a crucial regular-season finale on Friday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. The Skyhawks are currently tied for fourth in the NEC standings heading into the final week.
