EASTON, Mass (Oct. 27, 2025) – The Stonehill men's basketball team was selected to finish third in the 2025-2026 NEC Preseason Poll announced by the conference on Monday. Additionally, sophomore
Hermann Koffi earned Preseason All-NEC recognition.
The Skyhawks were chosen third behind LIU, who was unanimously selected as the preseason favorite, and Central Connecticut State, who finished atop the standings last season. Stonehill is coming off a 15-17 overall record last year, which included making the first appearance in the NEC Tournament earning the fifth seed with a 7-9 conference mark. The Skyhawks fell to fourth seed, FDU, 71-56 in the quarterfinals.
Koffi returns for his sophomore season after earning All-NEC second team and NEC All-Rookie team honors. Koffi appeared in all 32 games, while starting 27 averaging 9.4 points per game and shooting 74.2% from the free throw line.
