Box Score ORONO, Maine (Nov. 17, 2025) – The Stonehill women's basketball team dropped a non-conference road game at Maine Monday evening, falling by a score of 79-53 at Memorial Gym.
The Skyhawks slip to 2-2 overall (0-0 NEC), while the Black Bears go to 1-3 (0-0 America East).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- One game after grabbing a career-high in rebounds (nine vs. Rider), Bella Mallory established a new career-best in scoring, tallying 12 points Monday. Mallory finished 6-of-11 with two blocks, also a career-high, and two rebounds.
- Brooke Paquette, coming off a weekly NEC Prime Performer accolade, netted 13 points, hitting five field goals.
- Ella Pelletier, playing in her home state of Maine, drained two 3-pointers and had eight points and three boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The teams traded buckets for much of the opening period, but Maine carried a 17-10 advantage after the first 10 minutes.
Bella Mallory reached a new career-high with eight points in the first half, while
Brooke Paquette scored seven of her nine first-half points in the second, but the Black Bears took a 39-22 lead into halftime.
Maine continued to hold the Skyhawks at bay, as Stonehill shot only 36.4 percent for the game (20-of-55). The Black Bears also outrebounded the Skyhawks, 45-31, including 16-9 on the offensive glass, and owned the edge in points off turnovers, 21-5.

Stonehill (2-2, 0-0 NEC) will return home to take on Bryant (4-0, 0-0 America East) at Merkert Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.
