How It Happened
Following a back-and-forth opening five minutes, Stonehill struck first at 6:27 when Romer buried his team-leading eighth goal of the season. Just 27 seconds later, Alaska Anchorage answered as Joey Potter lit the lamp for his career-high third tally of the year. Despite outshooting the Seawolves 18–6 in the opening frame, the Skyhawks entered the first intermission tied 1–1.

Midway through the second, the Seawolves grabbed their first lead when Connor Cole converted on the power play at 8:20. Stonehill responded less than four minutes later, as Melady buried his third of the season off a net-front feed from Banquier at 12:15 to even the score at 2–2.

The Skyhawks came out strong in the third and reclaimed the lead just 2:34 into the period when Galante finished a feed from Mexico. With the advantage back in hand, Stonehill locked down defensively, limiting Alaska Anchorage's offensive chances the rest of the way to secure a 3–2 road victory.
