EASTON, Mass. (March 27, 2025) – Stonehill College placed 123 student-athletes on the Northeast Conference (NEC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on February 14. To qualify for the NEC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.20. Additionally, 43 Skyhawk student-athletes achieved a GPA of 3.75 or higher, earning a spot on the NEC Fall Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
The Fall Academic Honor Roll included 1,228 student-athletes with a GPA of 3.20 or better, marking the third-highest total in league history. Furthermore, 480 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for posting a GPA of 3.75 or above, just shy of the league record of 498 set in 2021.
Five of Stonehill's 123 student-athletes who earned Academic Honor Roll recognition achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA:
Shannon Conte and
Stori Rounds from field hockey;
Michael Strachan, Jr. and
Phoenix Sward from football; and
Annie Renz from women's soccer.
Sophomore
Dylan Brilliant of the men's cross country team earned a fifth-place finish at the NEC Cross Country Championships, securing a spot on the All-NEC team. Meanwhile, the women's cross country team was led by junior
Jordan Malloy, who finished third overall at the NEC Cross Country Championships and posted top-three finishes in four of the six meets during the fall season.
Conte, one of five student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA, excelled in goal for the Stonehill College field hockey team, recording three shutouts and posting a 2.15 goals-against average with a .713 save percentage over 18 appearances. A two-sport athlete, Conte also competes for the Skyhawks' softball team and was named to the All-NEC second team for the second time in her career.
Junior
Cody Ruff finished the fall semester with a 3.85 GPA, while also achieving career-highs of 17 receptions, 232 receiving yards, and two touchdowns on the football field. Ruff set a personal best with 105 yards on six receptions during the Skyhawks' season-opener against Stony Brook University.
Junior
Owen Burke had a standout season with the Stonehill College men's soccer team, recording a career-high 10 points from three goals and four assists. In the classroom, the two-time NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll selection and two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree earned a 3.84 GPA for the fall semester.
Junior midfielder
Hannah Anselmo of the women's soccer program earned recognition on the NEC Academic Honor Roll with a 3.40 GPA. Anselmo was also named the NEC Offensive Player of the Year and was selected to the USCA All-North Region fourth team after leading the league in goals (8), assists (6), points (22), and shots on goal (23).
Senior
Mia Berardino of the Stonehill volleyball team finished the fall semester with a 3.84 GPA. Berardino played a key role for the Skyhawks front line, appearing in 23 matches and 80 of the team's 95 sets. She led the squad with 246 points, 210 kills, and 596 total attacks, while also ranking among the team's top-three in digs with 140.
On the women's side, 26 student-athletes from women's soccer earned spots on the honor roll, followed by 17 from field hockey, 15 from volleyball, and nine from women's cross country. On the men's side, men's soccer led the way with 23 student-athletes named to the honor roll, followed closely by football with 22 and men's cross country with 11.
