DEDHAM, Mass. (Aug. 29, 2025) – The Stonehill field hockey team took on Northeastern in its season opener at Dedham Field Friday afternoon. The Huskies (1-0) emerged with a 2-0 victory over the visiting Skyhawks (0-1).

- Making her first-career collegiate appearance, freshman goalkeeper Isabelle Morton recorded five saves.

How it Happened
Following a 45-minute weather delay, the Skyhawks and Huskies got underway. In the first quarter, Morton recorded the first two saves of her career, including the first after a shot off a corner by Northeastern's Lucy Walton. The Skyhawks earned three corners of their own in a scoreless first quarter.
In the second, the Huskies got on the scoreboard with a goal by Alex Mega off a pass from Anna-Kate Dominigue at the 1:29 mark, making it 1-0.
The Huskies tacked on a second score with 8:50 remaining in the third quarter with a goal by Jess Garden to give Northeastern a 2-0 advantage.
