EASTON, Mass. (Sept. 26, 2025) – Isabelle Morton made a career-high 11 saves, but the Stonehill field hockey team dropped an NEC contest to Saint Francis by a score of 3-0 at W.B. Mason Stadium Friday afternoon.
The Skyhawks move to 1-1 in the NEC and 1-7 overall, while the Red Flash improve to 2-0 in league play and 6-3 overall.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Freshman goalkeeper Isabelle Morton turned aside 11 shots, good for a new career-high. Morton's previous career-best was eight saves (twice).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Following a scoreless first quarter, the game nearly remained without a goal at the halfway point, but Saint Francis capitalized on a penalty corner with 12 seconds remaining in the second, as Madison Waldspurger fired for a goal to make it 1-0.
In the third, the Red Flash tallied back-to-back goals, starting at the 43:38 mark by Gianna Lambert. Just 62 seconds later, Avery Bradburn gave Saint Francis a 3-0 lead to cap the scoring on the afternoon.

Stonehill (1-7, 1-1 NEC) will remain home to face Fairfield (4-4, 2-0 NEC) at W.B. Mason Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. The Skyhawks will also host its Alumnae Game that day.
