SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2025) – Senior
Kristy Barry won two events, including setting a new school record in the 100 IM, as the Stonehill women's swimming team competed at the Hannah/Gibbons Invite Sunday.
Barry established a new Skyhawk record with a time of 1:00.85 in the 100 IM. She posted a new personal-best time in the 100 freestyle (53.95) to pick up a second event victory on the day. Barry also took second in the 200 IM (2:14.01)
Junior
Grace Idowu placed second in the 50 freestyle (24.84), third in the 50 butterfly (27.16) and was fifth in the 100 freestyle (56.06). Freshman
Emma Richards, in her first-career collegiate meet, finished fourth in the 50 butterfly (27.36) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:01.66).
Sophomore
Elizabeth Weston was second in the 50 backstroke (28.71) and third in the 100 backstroke (1:02.46), while classmate
Sorina Cheng notched a fourth-place finish in the 50 backstroke (29.12) and fifth in the 100 IM with a personal-best mark of 1:03.93.
As a team, the Skyhawks placed third with 1,266 points, while Binghamton was first with 2,427.5 points, and Le Moyne second with 1330.5 points.
Stonehill will take on Siena and Rhode Island in Loudonville, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
