HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite dropping the first two sets, the Skyhawks were not going away quietly and used a late rally to take the third set, 25-23. It appeared as if momentum was switching over to the Skyhawk bench.
Freshmen Samantha Loyd and
Cat Detweiler helped Stonehill jump out to a 6-0 lead in the third set, combining for three kills. Stonehill was able to fend off an early Morgan State comeback as Morgan State cut the lead to four, but the Skyhawks kept pulling away, leading by four 11-7 midway through the fourth set.
But Morgan State answered with a 7-0 run to take a 14-11 lead and they never looked back to take the fourth set, 25-21.
