Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Jan. 22, 2026) – The Stonehill women's basketball team fell on the road to LIU in an NEC contest by a score of 72-59 at the Steinberg Wellness Center Friday evening.
The loss drops the Skyhawks to 6-12 overall (2-5 NEC), while the Sharks move to 11-7 (6-1 NEC).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Julia Webster tallied a career-high with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Webster also added seven rebounds.
- Brooke Paquette made four three-pointers, tying her career-best, and finished with 17 points after scoring 13 with all four treys in the first half. Paquette now has scored 870 points in her career.
- Breana Delaney had a career-high seven assists.
- Ella Pelletier added 13 points, going 6-of-9 from the field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Stonehill hit three triples early to hold an 11-7 lead at the first media timeout at the 4:04 mark of the first quarter.
Brooke Paquette drained three first-quarter treys, as the Skyhawks led, 20-17, through the first 10 minutes.
In the second, Paquette continued her hot shooting, draining her fourth trey to tie the game, 24-24. LIU led, 32-30, at the break, but Paquette led all scorers with 13 points, shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in the first half.
LIU outscored the Skyhawks, 12-4, through the first six minutes of the third quarter to take a 44-35 advantage on the scoreboard. The Sharks went on to own a 52-41 lead heading to the final quarter of play.

Stonehill (6-12, 2-5 NEC) will remain on the road to face Central Connecticut State (0-18, 0-7 NEC) on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.
