DEDHAM, Mass. (Oct. 3, 2026) – The Stonehill field hockey team led for most of the contest, but the Skyhawks surrendered two late goals, falling to Queens by a score of 2-1 at Dedham Field Saturday afternoon.
The Skyhawks fall to 2-7 (2-1 NEC), while the Royals improve to 3-6 (0-0 MPSF).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Delaney Wojnarowicz tallied her third goal of the season, giving her the team lead.
- Teagan O'Donnell handed out an assist for the third-straight game, as she paces the team with three assists and seven points.
- Isabelle Morton recorded nine saves in net.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Skyhawks grabbed a 1-0 lead with 4:52 remaining in the first quarter when
Teagan O'Donnell sent a pass to
Delaney Wojnarowicz who fired a shot into the net.
Stonehill held the lead until early on in the fourth when Maddie Just knotted the game, 1-1, at 46:46. Minutes later, Queens went up, 2-1, as Amanat Dhillon scored a goal off an assist by Delfina Gonzalez Fontan at the 53:05 mark.
The Royals owned a slight advantage in shots, 19-15, and had the edge in shots on goal, 11-6, and penalty corners, 10-6.
