EASTON, Mass. (October 5, 2026) – Junior goalkeeper
Allie Sougaris of the Stonehill College women's soccer team has been named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
In addition to earning Defensive Player of the Week honors, Sougaris was named an NEC Prime Performer for the third consecutive week, while seniors
Lindsey Brown and
Lily Roslonek earned their first NEC Prime Performer selections of the season.
Sougaris earned her third and fourth wins and shutouts of the season this week, blanking Le Moyne, 1-0, on Thursday before shutting out Wagner, 2-0, on Sunday. Across the two outings, Sougaris tallied six saves while lowering her season goals-against average to 0.34.
Brown netted her second career goal on a header against Wagner in the first half on Sunday. The goal proved to be the eventual game-winner, coming off senior
Annie Renz's NEC-leading fifth assist of the season.
Roslonek scored the game-winning goal against Le Moyne on Thursday, lifting the Skyhawks to a 1-0 victory. The goal marked Roslonek's first of the season and second of her collegiate career.
Stonehill (4-5-4, 4-1-0 NEC) returns to action Thursday, traveling to Chicago for an NEC matchup against Chicago State at 11 a.m.
