  • Junior Ryan LeClair drew a team-high two walks on the night.
  • Graduate student Sam Parks extended his on-base streak to 21 consecutive games (dating back to last season) after working a walk against the Islanders.
  • Graduate student Ryan Douglas made the start on the mound, striking out two over 4.0 innings of work.
  • Freshman Sean Connolly made his collegiate debut on the mound, while sophomore Tanyon Weber fanned a team-best three batters across 1.2 innings in relief.

How It Happened
Following a scoreless inning and a half to open the game, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi broke through in the bottom of the second with a pair of runs. An RBI double off the bat of Noah Cassie put the Islanders on the board before a sacrifice fly by Max Towchik later in the frame capped the two-run outburst.

In the top of the third, Christopher recorded the Skyhawks' first hit of the 2026 campaign with a single into shallow left field. He moved into scoring position a batter later when LeClair drew his first of two walks on the day, but Stonehill was unable to capitalize, stranding a pair and remaining scoreless through three innings.

The Islanders extended their advantage with three runs in the bottom of the third, highlighted by a two-run double from Cade Sanchez. Two more crossed in the fifth on a two-run home run by Jackson Smith, and Corpus Christi added two additional runs in the sixth on an RBI triple by Isaiah Afework and a sacrifice fly from Smith, stretching the lead to 9-0 heading into the seventh.

Stonehill broke through in the top of the seventh when Christopher lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, driving in Howland for the team's first run of the night. However, the Islanders responded with two more runs in the eighth to secure an 11-1 victory over the Skyhawks.
