EASTON, Mass. – The 2025-2026 Senior Reflections is a series of annual collections. Senior representatives of teams at Stonehill have been invited to contribute and reflect on their personal experiences over their four-year careers at Stonehill - both on and off the playing surface.
Sam Parks, Baseball
Why Stonehill?
I transferred to Stonehill during the summer of 2022 after the announcement of the move to Division I. I wanted to be a part of a program where I could make an impact and build the foundation and culture for the continued success of the baseball team that will last past my playing career.
How Stonehill has shaped you as a person?
Stonehill has shaped me for the better during my time here. I have met my best friends, worked and played with unbelievable people, and found my home away from home in Easton.
Best Moments
My favorite athletic moment was our playoff clinching game at home last year. Seeing a season of hard work and dedication pay off with our first ever NEC tournament appearance was a testament to our grit and determination. Academically, my classes with Dr. Brgoch in the sport management department featured my favorite moments. Seeing my peers so passionate about interests that align with my own was a great thing to be around.
Lessons Learned
I have learned how to overcome adversity and the true meaning of being a teammate. Spending every day with the same group of guys builds a bond that cannot be replicated, and I have found myself acting selflessly with my teammates best interests in mind as a result.
Transferable Skillss
Time management and work ethic. Being a Division I athlete is not an easy task and balancing a full academic and athletic schedule has definitely prepared me for success in the workforce.
