How It Happened
Stonehill jumped out to an early lead just 5:18 into the opening frame. Following a turnover in the Skyhawks' offensive zone, Palsa dished the puck to Combe, who buried her eighth goal of the season. Just over six minutes later at the 11:33 mark, Palsa fed the puck up to Whynot on the power play. Whynot broke into the zone alongside Achtyl, who finished a backhanded beauty top shelf for the first of her two goals on the night.

Exactly 30 seconds later, Saint Michael's cut the deficit in half when Anna Jerylo netted her third goal of the campaign. In the waning seconds of the opening frame, Alicia McDonald lit the lamp on the power play to even the score at two.

Stonehill quickly reestablished control in the second period, building a three-goal lead by the intermission after outscoring the Purple Knights 4-1 in the stanza. Feeney and Palsa connected on a two-on-one break at the 7:13 mark, before Achtyl capitalized on a wide-open net at 8:14 after retrieving a pass down low from Wise. At 12:17, Mullin found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career, tallying what would ultimately stand as the game-winning goal.

Brianna Jarvis halted the surge at 16:13 of the second, scoring the Purple Knights' second power-play goal of the contest. With just 12 seconds remaining in the period, Mullin pounced on a loose puck below the goal line and wrapped it around the front of the net for her second career goal, sending the Skyhawks into the break with a 6-3 advantage.

Despite being held off the scoresheet in the third period and surrendering a goal at the 6:20 mark, the Skyhawks withstood a late push from Saint Michael's to secure the 6-4 victory.
