EASTON, Mass. (April 18, 2026) – The Stonehill softball team split Saturday afternoon's doubleheader against Le Moyne with a 4-2 victory in game one before dropping game two 5-0 to the Dolphins.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior right-hander Lauren Donovan pitched four innings in game one, striking out four Dolphins.
- Junior Harper Sullivan went 1-for-3 in game one with an RBI single in the third inning to tie the game.
- Sophomore Taylor Schoonmaker went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored.
GAME 1: STONEHILL 4, LE MOYNE 2
The Skyhawks demonstrated resilience after falling behind in the first inning. While Le Moyne jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Stonehill's pitching tandem of senior

Alexa Hospodar shut the door for the remainder of the afternoon.

Haleigh Reed led off the second inning with a walk, pinch runner freshman Luka Bornhost swiftly stole second before scoring on a ground out by freshman
Juliana Alicea.
The Skyhawks added another run an inning later with sophomores
Taylor Schoonmaker and
Sarah Taylor setting the table with back-to-back singles. Junior
Harper Sullivan lined a base hit back where it came from to plate Schoonmaker and tie the ballgame at two.
Stonehill took the lead in the home half of the forth, capitalizing on defensive miscues by the Dolphins. Freshman

Jenny Olson scored the insurance run moments later.
GAME 2: LE MOYNE 5, STONEHILL 0
Stonehill looked to carry its momentum over into game two. Junior
Alex Sciarretto struck out the side in the top of the first inning.
But the Dolphins answered with a pair of runs in the top of the third before adding another three runs in the fifth inning to take game two.
