EASTON, Mass. (April 28, 2026) – The Stonehill softball team fell to the University of Rhode Island in a non-conference single-game on Tuesday afternoon.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Juliana Alicea was 1-for-2 with a double in the second inning.
- Freshman Jenny Olsen also went 1-for-2 in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rams took control of the game early, capitalizing on defensive miscues to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Stonehill threatened to answer in the home half of the fifth.

Juliana Alicea ripped a double into the left centerfield gap then scampered to third on a base hit by fellow freshman Jenny Olsen. After a walk by junior
Caelan Beatty loaded the bases, the Skyhawks were threatening, but was unable to push across a run.
The Rams bats remained steady throughout the game, adding another two runs in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth before breaking the game open with four in the sixth to earn their 18
th win of the season.
