EASTON, Mass. – The 2025-2026 Senior Reflections is a series of annual collections. Senior representatives of teams at Stonehill have been invited to contribute and reflect on their personal experiences over their four-year careers at Stonehill - both on and off the playing surface.
Rosalie Martin, Equestrian
Why Stonehill:
I chose Stonehill for the equestrian team, business department, and location!
How Stonehill has shaped you as a person:
Stonehill has shaped me into a confident and resistant person, especially with my role on the equestrian team, pushed me to become a better leader and communicator. I have had to learn the balance of the team, academics, and my personal life which taught me more about time management and how to focus under pressure.
Best Moments …
Academically my best moment at Stonehill was getting inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society for the business school. Athletically my best moment was qualifying for and competing in the Nationals competition in Tryon, North Carolina last year!
Lessons Learned
Over the last four years I have learned that I am very resilient and adaptable, and when given the chance can excel if I put my mind to it. I learned how important having and being a supportive teammate is, and how much I value being in a strong community.
What transferable skills can you take post-your Stonehill days:
I will take the skills of time management and leadership with me after Stonehill. Being able to balance multiple responsibilities while also staying true to my goals is something that I will definitely apply in my post-grad years.
