EASTON, Mass. (July 8, 2026) – Recent graduate Evan Orr of the Stonehill College men's hockey team has been named to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-America® First Team for the At-Large Division, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

Orr becomes the first student-athlete of Stonehill's NCAA Division I era to earn CSC Academic All-America honors and the first Skyhawk overall since Elisha Brinkman '22 was recognized in 2022. The Shelby Township, Michigan, native is also just the second player in Stonehill men's hockey history to receive the distinction, joining Dana Borges '13, who earned Academic All-America honors in 2013.

The NCAA Division I Independent Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Orr established himself as one of the Skyhawks' premier two-way defensemen during his two seasons in Easton. He totaled 33 points on 13 goals and 20 assists in 62 career games, while five of his 13 goals stood as game-winners, including four overtime winners. Orr also blocked 98 shots during his Stonehill career.

In the classroom, Orr maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA and was a member of Stonehill's inaugural Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society class. The two-time CSC Academic All-District selection and two-time NCAA Division I Independent All-Star, has continued his playing career at the professional level, as he appeared in 14 games for the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL.
