With the result, the Skyhawks move to 0-0-2 overall, while the Bulldogs open their season at 0-0-1.

- The draw marks the second consecutive season in which the Skyhawks have opened with a 0-0-2 record, marking the first time Stonehill has posted that record in the past 30 seasons.
- Seniors Lily Roslonek and Lindsey Brown, along with junior Meghan Dowd, sophomore Dani Lomuscio, and freshman Sadie O'Toole, went the distance, playing all 90 minutes.
- Lomuscio and freshman Allyson Cullingford tied for the game-high with two shot attempts apiece.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jenna Hamel recorded her first career shutout, stopping both shots she faced on target.
How it Happened
After the opening minutes were played primarily through the middle third of the pitch at Beirne Stadium, Stonehill earned the contest's first corner kick in the fourth minute. Less than a minute later, junior
Martha Lord attempted to play a through ball up to senior
Kayla Cassidy, but Bryant's backline denied the opportunity to keep the scoreboard level early in the non-conference meeting.
At the 13:50 mark, Lomuscio found an outstretched Cassidy up the far side of the pitch, with the senior ripping the first shot attempt of the game on target for the Skyhawks. The two sides continued to battle back and forth for possession throughout the remainder of the opening half, sending the game into halftime scoreless at 0-0.
Coming out of the halftime break, Stonehill narrowly broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when a cross into the box off the boot of Cassidy nearly found senior
Annie Renz, as the classmates attempted to connect on a redirect toward the back of the net.
In the 64th minute, Bryant threatened to break through following a corner kick, as an in-swinging ball found a pair of Bulldogs in front of Hamel in the Skyhawks' net. However, an offside flag waved off the opportunity, keeping the game scoreless.
Throughout the latter stages of the contest, Hamel and the Skyhawks' backline came up clutch with a pair of quality punch-outs and saves, while Roslonek added a pair of blocked shots to keep the game knotted at zero.
With just 30 seconds remaining, Cullingford nearly broke the deadlock when she sent a shot trickling just wide of the right post. Despite the late bid for the game-winning tally, the contest would end in a scoreless, 0-0 draw between Stonehill and Bryant.
