SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Sept. 11, 2026) – The Stonehill field hockey team dropped a road game at Bryant by a score of 3-1 at the Steven '69 and Lily Cowen Field Friday afternoon.
The Skyhawks fall to 0-4, while the Bulldogs move to 3-2 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Midway through the first quarter, Claire Joss sent a shot into the back of the net off an assist from Julie Diderich at the 8:28 mark, making it 1-0 Bryant. Through 30 minutes of play, the Bulldogs held an edge in shots on goal, 6-2, and penalty corners, 6-1, with Stonehill goalkeeper
Isabelle Morton recording five saves in the first half.
With 6:56 remaining in the third, Ellie Picard extended Bryant's lead to 2-0 with an unassisted tally after taking possession off a blocked shot. Minutes later, Picard struck again, this time with an assist by Valentina Funes to make it 3-0 in favor the Bulldogs.
Stonehill got on the scoreboard with 4:47 remaining, as
Havana De Roeck found the back of the net off a pass from
Emma McGrory to cut the deficit to 3-1.
