Group Exercise Classes
Group Exercise classes are designed for all fitness abilities and provide our Stonehill community another great way to stay healthy and make new connections outside of the traditional workout area. Our instructors are all certified, and are made up of both students and staff! We offer a variety of different types of classes (ex: Yoga, Spin, Barre, etc.). We welcome all feedback about our programs and look forward to seeing you in class. Want to join our staff? BarreÂ
Ballet-based choreographed movements to the beat of the music, with each song focused on muscular endurance training. Work up a sweat and have fun!
SpinÂ
A fun, upbeat, cardio-based cycling class where we ride to the beat of the music. Ranging from heavy hills to quick sprints, this works out the legs and gets the heart rate up! We also include an arm workout in class to switch it up. A perfect way to have fun while working out!
Spin classes are first come, first serve. No registration.Â
The PracticeÂ
A deeper dive into yoga practice, this 90-minute class begins with breath work (Pranayama) followed by longer breath awareness (Meditation) before we move through yoga postures linked together with the breath in vinyasa flowing sequences (Asana). Come for the practice, stay for the 10-minute Savasana. Some yoga experience recommended.
PilatesÂ
A full-body strength training workout focused on strengthening the core to help the whole body become more stable. Inspired by the classic movements of Joseph Pilates, this class is designed to help with flexibility, control, balance, and more. This is a beginner-friendly class and is open to all levels!Â
