2016-17 (Junior)
2015-16 (Sophomore): Appeared in 10 games on the mound with four starts for a mark of 2-1. Threw for 27.2 innings giving up 27 hits, 12 runs, 10 walks and striking out 20 batters for a 3.58 ERA. Appeared at the plate 15 times for two hits, scoring three runs, recording one RBI, drawing 10 walks and stealing one base.
2014-15 (Freshman): Appeared in 27 games during his freshman campaign, making 16 starts. Hit .170 (9-for-53) with a double, a homerun, ten RBI and seven runs scored. Also drew 11 walks and struck out 19 times. Made one appearance out of the bullpen in an 11-7 lose at Saint Thomas Aquinas College (3/11). Pitched three innings while giving up one run to go with four strikeouts. Made his collegiate debut on 2/20 against Mercy, going 0-for-2 with a walk. Recorded his first hit and run against Chestnut Hill, finishing 1-for-3 with a double, two runs and a walk (2/22). Registered a two RBI single in a 12-9 win over American International College (3/8). Connected on his first collegiate homerun in a 13-3 win over Saint Michael's College, finishing 1-for-4 with a homerun, two RBI and a run (4/26). In the very next game against Assumption, went 1-for-1 with a RBI in a 12-0 win (4/28). Recroded a RBI, a run and a walk against Adelphi in a 14-3 Skyhawk victory (5/8).
High School: 2014 graduate of Masconomet High School in Boxford, Mass., where he competed in baseball and golf and served as captain of both teams as a senior. Won state championship with golf team as a sophomore. Won state baseball championship as a senior while being named state finals MVP. Also earned All-State and Cape Ann League Kinney Division MVP honors.
Personal: Born July 25, 1996 in Salem, Mass. Son of Jon and Joyce Klingensmith of Topsfield, Mass. Has a brother, Jake (15). Chose Stonehill because it was a good academic/athletic fit. Enjoys golfing, playing basketball, listening to music, and drawing. Lists the Boston Red Sox as his favorite team.
