Biography

2007: Appeared in 17 contests, making five starts in his first campaign. Notched five hits in 29 at-bats and scored two runs. Had a .947 fielding percentage.

High School: 2006 graduate of Cazenovia High School. Letterwinner in football, hockey and baseball, serving as team captain for all three sports. Named to the All-Central New York team in consecutive years.

Personal: Born on May 12, 1988 in Syracuse, N.Y. Son of Eric and Katie Franz of Cazenovia, N.Y. Has three siblings, Carter (18), Caroline (15), and Cullen (14). Majors in sociology and minors in communications at Stonehill. Supports the Buffalo Bills. Lists Jim Kelly as favorite athlete. Completed an internship with Big Sister Big Brother for the spring 2010 semester.
