Brent Kasabian isin his second season as an assistant coach with the Stonehillfootball program. While taking over as special teams coordinatorthis fall, he will continue as position coach with the Skyhawksdefensive backs.

Stonehill defensive back excelledin Kasabian's first year working with the group, leading theNortheast-10 with 15 interceptions, a total that also ranked 33rdnationally in Division II. The Skyhawks led the NE-10 in takeawayswith 25, ranking 29th nationally for that category.

Kasabian joined Stonehill afterserving as an assistant coach during the 2011 season at MaineMaritime Academy in Castine, Maine. He worked as position coach forthe Mariners secondary, while also working on special teams.Kasabian was in charge of generating daily drills, chartingopponent passing play cards and analyzing tendencies and breakingdown film. He was also responsible to assisting in team travelpreparations and recuiting in the areas of Maine, Connecticut andRhode Island.

Kasabian has two years of highschool coaching experience, working as defensive coordinator atNorth Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, Mass., during the2010 season and as assistant coach for defensive backs and strengthand conditioning coach at Tyngsboro High School in 2009. Kasabianhas also served as head freshman lacrosse coach at Wesford Academyduring the spring of 2011, leading the Grey Ghosts to a perfect15-0 record.

Kasabian has also earned experienceas a clinician at the Manning Passing Academy, in Thibodaux, La.,since 2006, the NIKE SPARQ Combine at Bentley University andMasters Sports Football Camps.

Kasabian is a 2009 graduate ofBridgewater State College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in criminaljustice. He was a four year letterwinner for the Bears footballteam as a defensive back. He was part of a class that posted a30-10 record over his four seasons, winning the 2005 and 2006 ECACNortheast and North Atlantic Bowl games.
