2013-14: NE-10All-Conference second team. Joe Concannon Award semifinalist. NE-10Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. AthleticDirector’s Honor Roll fall semester. NE-10 Player of the Week(11/6, 12/16, 2/10). Appeared in each of Stonehill's26 contests during his senior season. Led the team with 26 points(4th in NE-10) on 13 goals and 13 assists. Recorded two points (onegoal, one assist) in Stonehill's 6-2 victory at SUNY Canton(11/19). Followed that up with an assist in a 5-3 loss to Wesleyan(11/26). Extended his point streak to three games with a pair ofassists in a 10-3 win at Franklin Pierce (11/30). Potted two goals,including the game-winner with under three minutes remaining in thethird period, in Stonehill's 4-3 comeback win against WestfieldState (12/11). Posted a season-long five-game point streak from1/11-1/25, including two points (one goal, one assist) in a 5-3 winat Saint Michael's (1/20). Recorded his third multi-goalperformance of the season (two goals, one assist) in Stonehill's4-2 triumph against Franklin Pierce (2/6). Tallied his final twopoints of the season (one goal, one assist) in Stonehill's regularseason finale, a 6-2 win against Assumption (2/20).Rooney Earns NE-10 All-Conference Second TeamRecognition. 2012-13:NE-10 Player of the Week (11/20,1/29). Appeared in all 26 games for theSkyhawks in his junior season. Ranked second in the NE-10 inscoring with 32 points on 16 goals and 16 assists. Scored his firstgoal of the season during Stonehill’s 8-3 opening gamevictory over Johnson & Wales (10/31/12). Recorded an assist inthe Skyhawks’ 4-2 win over SUNY Canton (11/3/12). Notched atwo-point game (one goal, one assist) during a 6-5 loss toWestfield State. Earned back-to-back two goal games in wins overSouthern New Hampshire (11/14/12) and Assumption (11/17/12).Registered his seventh goal of the season in a 4-2 loss tonon-conference opponent Trinity (11/24/12). Collected two assistsduring Stonehill’s 6-4 triumph over Framingham State(12/4/12). Potted a second period goal in the Skyhawks’ 6-1victory over Suffolk (12/5/12). Dished out two power-play assistsin a 4-3 conference win over Franklin Pierce (1/19/13). Posted acareer-high five points including two goals and three assists inStonehill’s 6-2 thrashing of Assumption (1/23/12). Registeredtwo goals and an assist in a loss to Southern New Hampshire(1/26/13). Produced three assists, including the game-winningassist on Dana Borges’ goal in Stonehill’s 7-2 win overUMass Dartmouth. Rooney posted a goal in the Skyhawks’ NE-10Tournament Semifinal loss to Saint Anselm (2/23/13). Rooney Named NE-10 Player of the Week. Rooney Collects NE-10 Player of the Week Honors for SecondTime.

2011-12: Played inall 25 games for Stonehill on the season. Finished 11th overall inthe NE-10 in goals with eight. Ranked fifth on the team in scoring(8-9-17). Scored four goals and dished out four assists on thepower play ranking tenth overall in the conference on the extra manadvantage. Notched a shorthanded game-winning goal versusAssumption College in Stonehill's 3-1 win over the Greyhounds inthe NE-10 semifinals. Had a pair of goals in a 7-3 win over SuffolkUniversity on 12/10/11. Netted a marker in the opening game of theregular season in a 3-2 loss to Johnson & Wales (11/02/11).Also scored against Assumption College on 11/05/11 and FranklinPierce (12/03/11, 1/23/12, 2/4/12). Recorded a pair of assists inthree games on the season against Framingham State (12/6/11),Southern New Hampshire (1/28/12) and Salve Regina (2/8/12).Stonehill went 3-3-1 overall when he scored a goal, 3-2-1 when hetallied an assist and 6-5-2 when he scored a point. When he did notscore a point the Skyhawks posted a 4-7-1 record overall.

2010-11: Played in23 games for Stonehill ranking fourth in points with 13 on tengoals and three assists. Finished second on the team in goals forthe season. Scored two goals in a 4-1 over Framingham State (2/3).Netted his first goal of the season on 11/20 in a 4-1 victory overFranklin Pierce. Dished out two assists in a 4-3 overtime loss toWorcester State (11/30). Scored the game-tying goal at 14:06 of thethird period in a 3-2 overtime loss to UMass Dartmouth (12/4).Notched a goal and an assist in a 6-2 triumph aganist AssumptionCollege (1/22). Had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 loss toAssumption College on 2/5. Helped Stonehill to a 6-5 comebackvictory over Southern New Hampshire on 2/12 with a game-tying powerplay gol at 1:20 of the third period. Potted three goals over thelast four games of the season. Scored three power play goals andtwo game-winning goals. Had three goals and three assists inconference play. NE-10 Rookie of the Week (2/7).

High School: 2009graduate of Canton High School. Lettered in hockey and served asteam captain. Two-time Hockomock League All-Star. Earned HockomockLeague MVP honors. Was a Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and PatriotLedger All-Scholastic selection. Played in the MassachusettsDivision 2 state championship game as a senior. Also lettered inbaseball and was a Hockomock League All-Star selection.
