Matthew Creamer enters his first season at Stonehill for the 2024-25 season and joins Skyhawks fresh off his experience at Providence College, where he served as a graduate assistant for the men's ice hockey program. During his time with the Friars, Creamer assisted with the set-up of video equipment, time-on-ice tracking, post-game analytical breakdown, analyzing film for upcoming opponents, and the recruiting of prospective student-athletes.
Before his season at Providence, Creamer served as an assistant coach for the Mount Saint Charles Hockey Academy U14 team. He managed day-to-day operations and helped coordinate and supervise players in all aspects of hockey, development, and sportsmanship. In addition, Creamer served as the head coach of the U18 team at the Providence Hockey Club in the Fall of 2021.
Creamer graduated from Connecticut College in New London, Conn., in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in higher education and a minor in Sports Administration. He was a three-year member of the Camel men's ice hockey team and served as an alternate captain during his senior season.
Creamer also garnered NCAA Division I playing experience in the ECAC with the Bobcats of Quinnipiac University during the 2017-18 season after a two-year stint with the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
