2010: Athletic Director'sHonor Roll Spring Semester. Division IIADA Academic Achievement Award. NE-10Commissioner's Honor Roll bothsemesters. Started 16 gamesat right back, recording two shots from the back line. Part of adefense which posted a team goals against average of 1.21 (0.43better than 2009's mark), and ranked seventh in the NE-10 with sixshutouts. During the final week of the regular season, the Skyhawkdefense held opponents to just five shots on goal in posting threestraight shutouts to clinch a postseason berth.

2009: Played in 11 games for Stonehill, makingthree starts. Recorded three shots on the season.

2008: Played 16matches, starting 14. Scored his first career goal in 5-2win over Mercy (9/30). Part of a defensive unit which ranked ninthin the NE-10 with four shutouts.

2007: Appeared in16 matches as a freshman, including two starts.Made first career start against American International(10/13).

High School: 2007 honors graduate of Daniel HandHigh School. Multiple letterwinner, serving as team captain as asenior. Earned All-State and All-Conference honors. Voted teamMVP. Also lettered in indoor and outdoor track, serving ascaptain of both as a senior. Named All-Area in Track. AwardedSouthern Connecticut Scholar of the Month honors. NationalHonor Society member. Played for Guilford Soccer Club.

Personal: Born March 29, 1989, New Haven, Conn.Son of Richard and Jeanne Bates of Madison, Conn. Majoring inmarketing. Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. Supports ChelseaFC. Lists Kevin Youkilis as a favorite athlete.
