Manny Fernandes enters his first season as an assistant/goalkeeper coach at Stonehill for the 2024 season. Before Stonehill, he coached at the MAF Soccer Academy, where he was the founder, owner, and director of coaching since 2014. He serves as the Bolts Metro Region U14 Girls Head coach at the MAF SA.Â
From 2005-2012, Fernandes served as the Thayer Academy Assistant Varsity and Goalkeepers coach. While coaching at Thayer, he also assisted the goalkeepers at Regis College during its preseason in 2009 and 2010.Â
Fernandes was a three-year member of the Salem State College men’s soccer team and a NELASA Semi Pro Goalkeeper during his playing career.Â
Fernandes holds an NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Diploma and a United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching Certificate. Fernandes earned his associate degree in sociology from Salem State College in 1995. Fernandes resides in Easton, Mass., with his wife, Jen, and two children.Â
