Malloy Finishes in Top 10 at ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships

Jordan Malloy has finished in the top 10 in each of her last four races

BRONX, N.Y. (October 18, 2024) – Junior Jordan Malloy (Colchester, Conn.) placed ninth out of 251 runners in the six-kilometer race at Van Cortlandt Park Friday morning as the Stonehill women's cross country team ran at ECAC/IC4A Championships.
 
As a team, Stonehill placed 14th, while Yale won the postseason race, with three runners finishing in the top 10. Bucknell finished second, while UMass Amherst placed third. Malloy was the second of 24 Northeast Conference runners to cross the finish line on Saturday as LIU's Hasnae Goulamzi placed sixth overall.
 
Highlights
  • Malloy's time of 21:16.1 in the 6K race Friday is less than three seconds behind her personal record of 21:13.4 which she set back on Oct. 5 at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh.
  • Malloy has placed in the top 10 in four consecutive races dating back to the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational on Sept. 7.
  • Senior Emma Lawrence (Milford, Mass.) was the second Skyhawk to finish, placing 51st at 22:19.9.
  • Sophomore Kellie Harrington (Pittsfield, Mass.) clocked in at 23:16.2 to place 106th.
  • Sophomore Sydney Kalil (Milford, Mass.) crossed the finish line at 23:27.5 as she was the 119th runner to complete the race.
  • Freshman Mallory Hildreth (Pittsford, N.Y.) finished with a personal record of 23:29.3 to come in 122nd place.

  • Freshman Emmy Belvin (Chepachet, R.I.) matched her PR in the 6K race to the exact tenth of a second, finishing at 23:46.2.
  • Sophomores Iasmim De Sousa-Vieira (Medford, Mass.) and Anna Casey (Medford, Mass.) finished back-to-back with De Sousa Vieira clocking in at 23:53.6 and Casey finishing in 23:53.8 as both runners set new PRs.
  • Freshman Isabelle Groulx (Chester, N.H.) hit a new PR as well, finishing in 24:25.5.
  • Freshmen Rachael Korowski (Hudson, Mass.), Emily Weigle (Beachwood, N.J.), and Sydney O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.) each ran in their first career 6K races.
