KINGSTON, R.I. (January 18, 2025) - The Stonehill College men's track and field team competed in its first indoor meet of 2025 and second of the season at the URI Invitational at the Mackal Field House.
 
FIELD EVENTS

• Freshman Quinn Hardt (Franklin, Mass.) competed in his second collegiate long jump, reaching 6.42m (21' 0.75") to place 11th.
• Senior Parker Hagen (Newport, R.I.) placed third in his first triple jump appearance of the indoor season, leaping 13.36m (43' 10").
• Sophomore Drew Pierson (Ellsworth, Maine) leapt 12.58m (41' 3.25") to place eighth in the triple jump. Pierson also had an impressive performance in the high jump, coming in fifth place as he reached a height of 1.90m (6' 2.75").
• Sophomore Joseph Chesney (Cumberland, R.I.) tied for a tenth-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 13.82m (45' 4").
• Graduate student Jacob Pacheco (Merrimack, N.H.) matched his best pole vault mark of the season as he came in third place with a vault of 4.60m (15' 1").
• Fellow grad student Cody DeAngelo (Old Saybrook, Conn.) came in seventh place in the pole vault, hitting a mark of 4.15m (13' 7.5").

TRACK EVENTS

• After placing third in the 60-meter hurdle preliminary race, Hardt placed fifth in the final with a time of 8.48 seconds. He set a new PR in the event in the prelims, recording a time of 8.37 seconds.
• For the second consecutive race, sophomores Will Tinkham (Stoughton, Mass.) and Ean Hynes (Newburyport, Mass.) recorded top-five finishes in the 60m hurdles, as Tinkham placed second with a time of 8.29 seconds, and Hynes came in fourth place at 8.45 seconds. Hynes set a new PR of 8.39 seconds in the preliminary round, while Tinkham's final time of 8.29 seconds was also a personal record.
• Senior Shea Drugan (Westfield, Mass.) set a new PR in the preliminary round of the 60-meter dash, 7.02 seconds, before placing seventh in the final with a time of 7.05 seconds.
• Senior Jace Hollenbach (Topsham, Maine) crossed the finish line at 4:24.78, a new PR, to finish 11th in the mile race. Sophomore Dylan Brilliant (Plymouth, Mass.) also set a PR in the mile, placing 15th at 4:26.39.
• Freshman Marcus McCoy (Linden, N.J.) made his 400-meter dash debut, clocking in at 53.97 seconds to place 15th, while Tinkham set a PR, finishing right behind him at 53.99 seconds.
• Senior Louis Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) finished the 500-meter run in 1:07.59, while sophomore Jon Dougherty (Reading, Mass.) placed 10th with a time of 1:07.83, setting a PR.
• Freshman Nathan Binda (Auburn, N.H.) ran in the first 800-meter run of his collegiate career, placing 10th as he clocked in at 2:01.60.
• Freshman Miles Burr (Trenton, Maine) competed in his first-ever 200-meter dash, placing fifth out of 27 runners with a time of 22.74 seconds.
• A trio of Skyhawks finished in consecutive order in the 200m dash, as junior Patrick Morin (Barnstable, Mass.), freshman Kauan Bento (Bridgewater, Mass.), and freshman Tristan Roche (Fairfield, Conn.) placed 12th, 13th, and 14th. Morin crossed the finish line in 23.51 seconds, Bento in 23.53 seconds, and Roche in 23.71 seconds.

• Stonehill Track and Field continues its indoor season next weekend at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass., where the team will compete in the River Hawk Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell on Friday, Jan. 24.
