Multiple Personal-Bests Help Men's Track & Field Finish First at the Merrimack Alumni Classic

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (April 2, 2026) – The Stonehill men's track and field team finished first at the Merrimack Alumni Classic edging out the host Warriors by one point with a team score on 146.5 on Thursday.

STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Brendan Wilder won the 800-meter run clocking a time of 1:55.60.
The Skyhawks had five runners finish in the top-five of the 800-meter – Brendan Wilder (1:55.60), Benjamin Tavares (1:56.09), Matthew Malora (1:57.75), Owen Partridge (1:58.11) and Connor Magill (1:58.92).
Junior Joseph Chesney won the shot put with a mark of 14.59m.
Freshman Ayden Gleeson won the hammer throw with a personal-best of 54.43m.
Freshman James Scott finished second in the javelin with a mark of 52.0m.
Freshman Jacob Phelan posted a personal-best mark of 32.15m in the discus to place 12^th.
Senior Jonathan Scampoli recorded a personal-best in the discus with a mark of 31.17m.
Freshman Quintarius Reynolds won the long jump with personal-best of 6.91m.
Freshman Evan Bedard posted a personal-best mark of 13.16 in the triple jump.
Junior Keagan Fletcher won the high jump with a score of 1.80m.
Junior Dylan Brilliant finished second in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:03.68.
Junior Ean Hynes won the 110 hurdles clocking a time of 15.01.
Junior Jon Dougherty placed second in the 400-meter run, just ahead of sophomore Matt Anderson who finished with a time of 50.97.
Junior Brody McGrail won the 100-meter dash clocking a time of 11.17.
Freshman Brian Stevens won the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 55.87.
