EASTON, Mass. (May 9, 2026) – Junior Brendan Wilder shattered the Stonehill men's track and field record in the 1500-meter and guided the Skyhawks to a first-place finish in the 4x800 relay to close out the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships on Saturday afternoon.
 
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS

• Junior Brendan Wilder shattered the program record in the 1500m posting a personal-best time of 3:44.98 to finished fourth.
• Wilder also lead off the Skyhawks 4x800 relay squad that secured first place with a time of 7:43.95 – 11 seconds ahead of Central Connecticut State.
• Freshman Benjamin Tavares broke the Stonehill freshman mark in the 800m meter to finish seventh with a personal-best time of 1:52.45.
• Sophomore Shane Stanghellini finished seventh in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:59.43.
• The Skyhawks 4x100 relay squad podiumed, finishing third clocking a time of 42.09.
• Junior Ean Hynes placed sixth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.85.
• Junior Jon Dougherty secured fourth place in the 400m dash with a time of 48.16.
• Freshman Brian Stevens clocked time of 54.64 in the 400 hurdles to place sixth.
• Sophomore Miles Burr placed 10^th in the 200m dash with a time of 21.93.
• Freshman Jacob Phelan registered a personal-best mark of 14.83m in the shotput.
