NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 14, 2025) – Members of the Stonehill College men's tennis team took to the courts this weekend at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Connecticut, to compete in the ITA New England Regional Tournament, hosted by Yale University.
Juniors
Jacob Borch-Nielsen and
Alessandro Munoz, sophomores
Nicolas Arredondo,
Guillermo Bennaton, and
Hector Cebrian, along with freshman
Benjamin Beaudry, represented the Skyhawks in the event.
Bennaton earned a spot in the main draw, where he faced Yale's ninth-ranked Jim Ji in the opening round before battling Aidan Pack of Boston College to a three-set triumph, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0, on Friday.
Borch-Nielsen, Beaudry, Munoz, and Cebrian each picked up respective wins in the qualifying draw. Borch-Nielsen defeated Thomas Bevan of Marist in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, while Munoz topped conference foe Navya Verma of Le Moyne, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.
Rounding out singles play, Beaudry and Cebrian earned consolation victories — Beaudry over Bryant's Myles Peterson, 6-1, 6-1, and Cebrian in a hard-fought battle with Colgate's Jerome Falcon, 6-3, 2-6, 10-7.
In doubles action, Beaudry and Bennaton teamed up to defeat Colgate's Aidan Lee and John Fazli, 8-4, marking the duo's first win together this season.
