EASTON, Mass. (October 25, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team closed out its fall slate on a high note with a 5-2 victory over non-conference opponent Siena College Saturday afternoon at the Charles Watt Tennis Courts.
The Skyhawks earned the doubles point after taking two of the three matchups before edging out the Saints, 4-2, in singles play. Leading the way for Stonehill were junior
Jacob Borch-Nielsen and sophomore
Hector Cebrian, who each collected a pair of wins on the day.
The duo teamed up for a hard-fought 7-5 win over Mars Argun and Matteo Castellazzi at No. 1 doubles before both players notched singles victories to complete their double-win performances. Borch-Nielsen battled past Argun in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 3 singles, while Cebrian secured a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-3, over Emilio Zavala Salinas.

Alessandro Munoz fell at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, freshmen
Benjamin Beaudry and sophomore
Javier Gutierrez clinched the doubles point for the Skyhawks with their team-leading sixth win as a pairing, prevailing 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, sophomores
Guillermo Bennaton and Arredondo also added wins to seal the match for Stonehill. Bennaton rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles over Castellazzi, while Arredondo cruised past Trujillo, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.
