Women's Soccer Blanks Delaware State, 3-0, in Return to Skyhawk Field

EASTON, Mass. (October 16, 2025) – Stonehill women's soccer returned to Skyhawk Field for the first time in 728 days and delivered a 3-0 victory over Delaware State in NEC play Thursday afternoon. The Skyhawks now stand at 3-8-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the conference, while the Hornets drop to 5-8-3 and 3-4-1.

Highlights
  • Senior Hannah Anselmo recorded her fourth multi-goal game of the season, bringing her NEC-leading total to 11 goals on the year.
  • First-year Dani Lomuscio registered two assists on the afternoon, while junior Annie Renz added her fourth assist of the season.
  • Junior Lisa Kazandjian found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal in the second half.
  • Sophomore Allie Sougaris earned her second straight—and third overall—shutout of the season, stopping both shots she faced in goal.
How it Happened
Stonehill wasted little time jumping out to an early lead, as just 6:45 into the conference contest, Lomuscio played a ball ahead to Anselmo, who rocketed a right-footed shot past Azjah Tocher in goal for the Hornets — marking the first of her two goals on the afternoon.

Throughout the remainder of the first half, the Skyhawks continued to apply offensive pressure. Senior Grace Robison nearly doubled the Stonehill advantage in the 34th minute, sending a shot just wide of the Delaware State cage. The Skyhawks carried their one-goal lead into the halftime break.

Off a free kick in the 50th minute (49:26), Lomuscio once again connected with Anselmo, who whistled a shot through traffic and into the far corner of the Hornets' net for her second tally of the game and 11th goal of the season.

Stonehill capped the scoring in the 86th minute (85:49) when Renz found Kazandjian inside the 18-yard box. Kazandjian buried a right-footed strike into the back of the net — the first goal of her collegiate career — to seal a decisive 3-0 victory over Delaware State and a strong offensive performance on the pitch for the Skyhawks.
