ERIE, Pa. – The Stonehill women's volleyball team fell to Mercyhurst in four sets, 3-1, on Friday evening on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Skyhawks came out of the gate firing, taking a 1-0 match lead, edging out the Lakers, 25-23. Freshman
Cat Detweiler was flawless from the floor tallying three kills on four attempts, while fellow freshman
Emaline Ealey and junior
Abby Farrell also tacked on another three kills for Stonehill. Freshman
Kendra Sawyer was once again consistent at setting the tone with eight assists in the first set.
However, Mercyhurst answered winning the second set, 25-22 to tie the match at one, before shifting momentum over to their bench taking the third and fourth sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-16, respectively.
