EASTON, Mass. (October 25, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision to non-conference opponent Siena College in its home debut and fall finale Saturday afternoon at the Charles Watt Tennis Courts.

The Skyhawks started strong, sweeping doubles play to secure the opening point of the match before Siena rallied to take four of the six singles contests and earn the overall victory.

Leading the way for Stonehill were junior Julie Holte and sophomore Piper Remillard, who each earned a pair of wins on the day. Holte teamed up with senior Anneliese Beltran for a 6-1 triumph at No. 1 doubles, then followed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Andrea Vargas on the top singles court.

After Beltran and Holte set the tone with the first doubles win, Remillard and senior Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez clinched the doubles point for the Skyhawks with a 6-2 decision at No. 3. Sophomores Lilah Shallcross and Arya Chabria completed the doubles sweep with a hard-fought 7-5 win in the No. 2 slot.

Siena responded in singles play, winning four straight matches to secure the team victory. Remillard capped the afternoon for Stonehill with a 6-3 win at No. 6 singles to record her second win of the day.
