How It Happened
Dartmouth controlled offensive possession throughout the opening 20 minutes of play, but Androlewicz stood tall for the Skyhawks, turning aside all 14 shots he faced to send the game into the first intermission scoreless.
The Big Green broke through early in the second period, as Stavroff netted his first of three goals on the night just 3:46 into the frame off a feed from Cleaves. Stonehill responded at the 11:02 mark when Orr and Galante set up Romer, who buried his second goal of the season—and first of two on the night—into a wide-open net.
Following Romer's power-play tally, the Skyhawks narrowly outshot Dartmouth, 7–5, over the remainder of the period, sending the game into the third tied at one.
Out of the break, the Big Green took control, striking for four goals within an eight-minute span to open a commanding 5–1 advantage.
The duo of Galante and Orr once again connected with Romer on the power play at 15:23 of the final frame, but the deficit proved too much to overcome as Stonehill fell by a final score of 5–2 on home ice.
