WINCHENDON, Mass. (November 15, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to NEWHA rival Franklin Pierce on Saturday night at the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in Winchendon, Massachusetts. With the result, the Skyhawks moved to 5-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 in conference play, while the Ravens improved to 7-7-0 on the year and 6-4-0 in NEWHA action.

How It Happened
After a back-and-forth opening stretch, Franklin Pierce broke through first at 6:08 when Caleigh Murphy buried her fourth goal of the season off a feed from Maggie Korneta. Stonehill answered at 10:40, as Palsa started a transition rush that saw Slocum thread a cross-ice pass to Bibeau for the finish, leveling the score at 1-1.
The Ravens reclaimed the lead late in the period, converting on the power play at 15:53 when Hailey Anderson struck to send Franklin Pierce into the first intermission up 2-1.
Franklin Pierce added to its advantage early in the second, starting with another power-play marker from Korneta just 1:53 into the frame. Abigail Broz followed with an even-strength tally at 6:49 to stretch the lead to 4-1. Stonehill's penalty kill provided a spark late in the period, shutting down an extended 5-on-3 to keep the deficit at three heading into the second intermission.
Stonehill came out with energy to start the third, cutting the gap to two just 2:19 in when Combe's feed from below the goal line slipped out front for Turcotte to bury her first goal of the season. Despite pulling the goalie late in pursuit of another pair, the Skyhawks couldn't complete the comeback, falling 4-2 to Franklin Pierce in Winchendon.
