Written Senior Reflection - Charlie Diamantis, Men's Basketball

EASTON, Mass. – The 2025-2026 Senior Reflections is a series of annual collections. Senior representatives of teams at Stonehill have been invited to contribute and reflect on their personal experiences over their four-year careers at Stonehill - both on and off the playing surface.

Charlie Diamantis, Men's Basketball

Why Stonehill?
I chose Stonehill for the opportunity to continue playing basketball as well as the career path I wanted to pursue. Getting the chance to play basketball at the highest level and being able to be a part of a one of a kind community was substantial for me.

Building Relationships
When I first stepped onto campus, I would say I was very anxious about what the future would hold. But after four years of being a student-athlete at Stonehill, I learned that it is the challenges and uncertainty that really define the person you become. I am extremely grateful for all the important and lifetime relationships I have made with my time here at Stonehill. Whether it is teammates, coaches or friends, they have all been a guiding force in shaping me into the person I am today. These relationships have been just as valuable to me as being a student-athlete.

Best memories
Many of my best memories as a Skyhawk have been the time spent with my teammates, whether it's in the locker room after games and practice, being together over winter break, or going out to eat. Scoring my first collegiate points against Central Connecticut is something I'll always remember, but traveling the country together and playing ball with my friends is what stands out to me.

Lessons Learned
Playing basketball and balancing academics will really test your ability to take on responsibility. Through Stonehill and basketball, I learned that taking the easy route is not an option, and you will only ever grow if you double down and embrace the grind that is in front of you. I have learned a lot about myself at Stonehill; I feel that it has prepared me for the road ahead.

Looking back, I am grateful for everything Stonehill has offered me; the friends, the once-in-a-lifetime experience and the lessons. I arrived on campus as just a kid and feel as if I am leaving as someone, I would be proud of.
