EASTON, Mass. – The Stonehill men's basketball team opened the 2025-2026 season with a convincing 100-48 victory over Thomas College on Monday night.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Pearse McGuinn came off the bench and dropped a career single-game high 19 points
- Senior William Batchelder was a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc as he netted 15 points.
- Sophomore Hermann Koffi tallied 14 points, while junior Davante Hackett rounded out the quartet in double figures with 12.
- The Skyhawks put 52 points in the first half and led the Terriers, 52-16.
- Stonehill's offense received 55 points from its bench.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior
Ridvan Tutic ignited a four-minute, 11-0 run with a dun in the opening minutes to give the Skyhawks a 13-4 lead. They never looked back and it was off the races offensively. Senior
William Batchelder drained his second of two threes of half with two minutes remaining to give the Skyhawks their largest lead of the half, 49-14.
The offense did not let up in the second half. McGuinn came off the bench and provided the Skyhawks with a spark, shooting five-for-seven for 13 points. Late the game on a transition break, senior
