Havana De Roeck of the Stonehill field hockey team have been chosen to the All-NEC second team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.
The De Roeck sisters, who hail from Brecht, Belgium, tied for the team lead with five goals and 11 points on the fall. Siena, a midfielder, started all 15 games she appeared in and was a two-time NEC Prime Performer this fall. She scored a career-high two goals in the win at Rider Sept. 19, and she tallied two more goals, including one on a penalty stroke, against New Haven Oct. 17.
Havana, a forward, played in all 18 games, starting 17 and was named NEC Rookie of the Week Sept. 23 after netting a goal in the victory at Rider. She picked up her second NEC Rookie of the Week nod Oct. 21 after scoring in back-to-back games at New Haven and Sacred Heart Oct. 19. She also had an assist in the win over the Chargers for a three-point effort.
Stonehill went 5-4 in the NEC, finishing tied for fourth in the conference standings. The Skyhawks posted a 5-13 overall record on the year.
