Men's Basketball Explodes Offensively Against Northern Vermont-Johnson

EASTON, Mass. (Dec. 12, 2025) – The Stonehill men's basketball team returned to their winning ways with a 101-60 victory over Northern Vermont-Johnson on Friday evening. It was first time in eight years the Skyhawks scored over 100 points in a regulation game.

STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
  • Junior Ridvan Tutic matched his career single-game high 11 rebounds in addition to netting 13 points off the bench for his first double-double of the season.
  • Third time this season the Skyhawks have allowed 25 points or fewer in the first half, giving up just 22 points to the Badgers.
  • Stonehill put up over 100 points in a regulation game for the first time since defeating Southern New Hampshire on Dec. 9, 2017.
  • Sophomore guard Hermann Koffi went 7-for-11 from the floor to lead the Skyhawks with 19 points.
  • Senior guard Chas Stinson was nearly perfect from the charity stripe knocking down 9-of-11 for 15 points.
  • Sophomore guard Trenton Ruth eclipsed his career single-game high dishing out six assists while also tallying 13 points.
  • Graduate student Raymond Espinal-Guzman rounded out the five Skyhawks in double figures with 14 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stonehill wasted little time setting the tone early. Senior guard Chas Stinson turned defense into offense with a rejecting a lay-up, then pushing the ball down court and connecting with junior guard Davante Hackett for the fast-break dunk.

The Skyhawks kept the pressure on Badgers. Late in the first half, junior center Ridvan Tutic kicked the ball back out to the perimeter leading to sophomore guard Hermann Koffi's third three of the half. And there was no looking back as they took a 48-22 lead into the break.

There was little let up when the team emerged at the start of the second half. Senior guard Rex Sunderland underhanded the ball to Tutic, who laid it up for the easy two. In the waning minutes of the game, graduate senior Raymond Espinal-Guzman found an open Koffi in the near side corner to registered his fifth three-pointer of the game as the Skyhawks cruised to the victory.
