HOW IT HAPPENED
Stonehill wasted little time setting the tone early. Senior guard
Chas Stinson turned defense into offense with a rejecting a lay-up, then pushing the ball down court and connecting with junior guard
Davante Hackett for the fast-break dunk.
The Skyhawks kept the pressure on Badgers. Late in the first half, junior center
Ridvan Tutic kicked the ball back out to the perimeter leading to sophomore guard
Hermann Koffi's third three of the half. And there was no looking back as they took a 48-22 lead into the break.
There was little let up when the team emerged at the start of the second half. Senior guard
Rex Sunderland underhanded the ball to Tutic, who laid it up for the easy two. In the waning minutes of the game, graduate senior
Raymond Espinal-Guzman found an open Koffi in the near side corner to registered his fifth three-pointer of the game as the Skyhawks cruised to the victory.
