EASTON, Mass. (Dec. 3, 2025) – The Stonehill women's basketball team dropped a non-conference game to Brown by a score of 74-46 at Merkert Gymnasium Wednesday evening.
The Skyhawks slip to 3-4 overall (0-0 NEC), while the Bears move to 6-3 (0-0 Ivy League).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Brooke Paquette paced Stonehill with 14 points, a season-best seven rebounds and three steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Playing its first game since Nov. 22, Stonehill trailed Brown, 19-15, after one period, but in the second quarter, the Skyhawks hit only 2-of-12 shots (.167), as the Bears opened up a 32-20 advantage at the half.
Paquette netted nine of her 14 points in the second half, as Stonehill and Brown were even, 16-16, in points in the paint in the final 20 minutes. The Bears utilized the three-point line to pull ahead in the second half, making 6 of its 11 treys in those quarters. The Skyhawks held an edge in second-change points for the game, 14-11.
