Tessa Geddes and Tillier added two more goals within a 90-second span.
After Tillier's first of three goals on the day, the teams exchanged goals, with Murphy netting her first two of the season and the game in the opening quarter. At the end of the first period, Stonehill trailed Boston University 5-3.
The Terriers extended their lead in the second quarter, with Amonte scoring on an on-field advantage, followed by goals from Tillier, Stevenson, and graduate student
Kendall Sims. Hanifin broke Boston University's four-goal run with her first of the season, assisted by Koch, at the 7:37 mark of the second quarter.
Coming out of halftime, Stonehill managed to keep the deficit within five, matching Boston University's two goals in the third quarter with two of their own from Coutu and Murphy, both of whom were the Skyhawks' leading goal scorers from the previous season.
