LAKEVILLE, Mass. (February 22, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team defeated Southern New Hampshire University, 5-2, at the Lakeville Athletic Club Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Skyhawks improved to 5-2 overall, while the Penmen dropped to 3-5 on the year.

- Freshmen classmates Nicolas Arredondo and Guillermo Bennaton secured individual doubles wins for the Skyhawks for the second consecutive match.
- Arredondo and Bennaton combined for their second doubles win before securing their double victories at the No.1 and No. 2 positions of singles competition, respectively.
- Senior Guillaume Duhil de Bénazé and sophomore Alexis Chastang combined for their first doubles win.
- Senior Jacob Wilhelm Kreftingand junior Mark Kröll added their respective eighth and fifth singles triumphs of the year.
- Senior Cade Nadeau and sophomore Jaden Williams won the No. 1 doubles position.
- Sophomore Carlos Molero and freshman Marcos Castaneda picked up the lone singles wins for the Penmen at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles slots, respectively.
How It Happened
- Nadeau and Williams teamed up to take down Wilhelm Krefting and Kröll at the No. 1 doubles position, 6-3.
- Back-to-back wins from the Skyhawks' pairings of Bennaton and Arredondo and Duhil de Bénazé and Chastang helped secure the doubles point for Stonehill.
- After dropping the first set, 6-0, to Nadeau at the No. 1 singles slot, Bennaton battled back and secured his double win on the day with a final match score of 0-6, 6-2, 10-8.
- Arredondo defeated sophomore Albert Modol, 6-3, 6-1 on the No. 2 singles court, capping off his individual double win on the afternoon.
- Wilhelm Krefting took down Williams, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 3 singles to clinch the overall match victory for the Skyhawks by securing the squad's fourth point.
- Kröll rounded out the Stonehill victories on the day at the No. 4 singles position, defeating junior Phillipp Roeder, 6-1, 3-6, 10-8.
