KINGSTON, R.I. (February 8, 2025) - The Stonehill College track and field team competed at the University of Rhode Island Coaches Tribute Invitational in Kingston, Rhode Island, on Saturday afternoon. The meet served as the final preparation for the Skyhawks ahead of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Indoor Championship, set to take place in Staten Island, New York, on February 16.
The men's team earned 19 individual top 10 finishes, along with first place finishes in both the 4x400m and 4x800m relay events. On the women's side, the Skyhawks recorded 21 top 10 finishes, with eight athletes securing spots in the top three of their respective events.
WOMEN'S EVENTS
- Graduate student Kaytlin Encarnacao and junior Jordan Malloy finished atop the podium in each of their respective events.
- Encarnacao set a personal-best time of 7.91 in the 60m dash before finishing first overall in the 500m in 1:15.10, while Malloy took home a first-place finish in the 1000m with a personal-best time of 2:57.45.
- Sophomore Madison Stott came across the line right behind Encarnacao in the 500m with a time of 1:18.15, good for a season-best mark.
- Senior Madison Rousseau, freshman Mollie Osgood, and graduate student Lois Jones finished as the runners-up in each of their respective events.
- Rousseau posted a time of 8.84 in the 60m hurdles, while Osgood cleared 1.59m (5' 2.5") in the high jump, and Jones pole vaulted to a personal-best height of 3.61m (11' 10").
- Junior Kaia Eder and freshman Emmy Belvin rounded out Stonehill's top three finishers in the triple jump and mile.
- Belvin posted a personal-best time of 5:20.12 in the mile, while Eder leaped to 10.81m (35' 5.75") in the triple jump.
- The Skyhawks' 4x400m relay squad of Belvin, Malloy, sophomore Anna Casey, and senior Emma Lawrence combined to finish second overall in a time of 4:11.07.
MEN'S EVENTS
- Sophomore Jon Dougherty and senior Parker Hagen claimed top honors in the 400m dash and triple jump, respectively.
- Dougherty completed the 400m in a time of 50.53 seconds, while Hagen achieved a season-best mark of 14.00m (45' 11.25") in the triple jump.
- Graduate student Patrick Garratt recorded a personal-best time in the 3000m, securing second place with a time of 8:30.85.
- Sophomore teammates Nicholas Davies and Drew Pierson rounded out the top three men's individual finishers, each posting impressive results in their events.
- Davies set a personal record in the 1000m with a third-place finish, clocking in at 2:35.43, while Pierson recorded a season-best leap of 13.24m (43' 5.25") in the triple jump.
- Freshman Ethan Fadden earned a fifth-place finish with a personal-best mile time of 4:20.82.
- The Skyhawks' 4x400m relay team consisting of seniors Shea Drugan, Louis Warner, and Zachary Ofurum, along with freshman Miles Burr crossed the finish line first, posting a time of 3:26.75.
- In the 4x800m relay, Davies, Fadden, senior Jace Hollenbach, and sophomore Colin Keane combined for a first-place finish, clocking in at 8:15.10.

Stonehill Track and Field will return to action next weekend on Sunday, February 16 in Staten Island, New York for day one of the Northeast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
